The outstanding achievements of Coventry’s business community are set to be acknowledged at the upcoming Coventry Business Excellence Awards.

Taking place at the Ricoh Arena on Thursday 19 September the awards will see the region’s most successful companies go head-to-head across 14 different categories. Businesses of all sizes and from a number of sectors will be acknowledged at the awards giving all companies the chance to be acknowledged during what is set to be a night of celebration.

The hosts…

Ensuring the night runs seamlessly will be the night’s dynamic hosting duo: Mark Dolan and Lucy Nicholls.

Best-known for his role as presenter on Channel 4’s comedy gameshow Balls of Steel Mark has appeared on some of the UK’s most popular TV shows as well as performing stand-up comedy at a whole host of iconic venues.

Some of the programmes he has featured on includes The Mad Bad Ad Show, The Jump and Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.

Lucy Nicholls is a leading television presenter who has gone from touring in prestigious musicals in the West End and Broadway to broadcasting for the likes of Sky and Virgin. A natural performer she can often be found hosting regional business and sports awards across the country.

The venue…

Coventry’s premier event venue, the Ricoh Arena, will be the home of the Coventry Business Excellence Awards. Hosting events of all types, the arena has a range of versatile meeting and conference rooms that can provide a real boost to any occasion.

As well as corporate events the venue has also been home to two of the region’s most iconic sport’s teams. Currently it hosts Wasps Rugby’s rugby union home matches as well as Wasps Netball games. Previously, League One football team Coventry City used the venue as their home ground.

The official charity partner…

Not only will the awards shine a spotlight on those companies who are making an impact in the region, but they’ll also offer the opportunity to raise money for a deserving charity. The official charity partner at the awards will be the Lord’s Taverners.

The UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity gives disadvantaged children and disabled young people a sporting chance. They put on a range of initiatives each year that allow these vulnerable young people the chance to compete, learn, have fun and make friends through sport.
