Ahead of the Coventry Business Excellence Awards which is taking place on Thursday 19 September at the Ricoh Arena finalists along with sponsors of the event gathered for a celebratory Champagne and Canapes evening.
On Wednesday 4 September exclusive guests headed to Coventry Rugby Club – the home of one of the region’s most popular sporting teams. Here, finalists got the chance to mingle with fellow finalists, sniff out the competition and meet with their generous sponsors.
The networking event got underway with a Champagne reception before a selection of delicious canapes were brought round followed by speeches from Group Sales Director at Champions UK plc, David Simms and Head of Commercial Operations at Coventry Rugby Club, Toby Costar.
And, it isn’t long until we find out who will be walking away with one of the coveted prizes.
The evening proved the perfect prelude to the main event which will see everyone enjoy a black-tie occasion.
Ensuring proceedings run smoothly will be the dynamic hosting duo comedian Mark Dolan and TV presenter Lucy Nicholls. After enjoying a Champagne reception and delicious three-course meal entertainment will take place in the form of The Voice finalists Belle Voci.
Not only will the night provide the opportunity to recognise business success, there is also the chance to raise much needed money for charity.
The event’s official charity partner is the Lord’s Taverners who are the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. They put on a range of initiatives each year which help to engage disadvantaged and disabled young people through sport.
On the night a game of stand-up bingo and silent auction will take place with all proceeds going to the charity.
